Our Methodology

The Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: “Hold on (firmly) to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Caliphs” (Abū Dāwūd)

All activities and programs conducted at the Masjid are based on well-established sources of the Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamā’ah, namely the Qur'ān, the authentic Sunnah (Prophetic traditions) and the consensus of the Salaf us-Sālih – the first three generations of Muslim scholars during and after the revelation of the Qur'ān.

These were the noble Sahābah (Companions) of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), the Taabi'een (the generation that followed the Sahābah) and the Taabi Taabi'een (the generation that followed the Taabi'een). Therefore, our methodology is to traverse upon the path of the Sahābah, model ourselves in the way that they used to follow the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and apply the narrations as understood and implemented by the first three generations.

“...And the foremost of the Muhājirīn and the Anṣār and those who followed them. Allāh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.” (Sūrah at-Tawbah, 9:100)

We accept and respect all four Madhāhib (Islamic schools of jurisprudence) as well as the rulings of Islamic scholars – past and present – who adhere to the Qur’ān and the Sunnah.
